Amanda’s got Oliver and I’ve got Shakespeare

March 25, 2010

Let’s face it, Shakespeare’s plays are old and people (*cough* Middle/High school students *cough*) tend to despise reading his plays with a fiery passion so strong that not even Poseidon could douse the flames. Those same people believe the plays provide no life-altering, usable, or remotely relevant information. Well, despite my liking of Shakespeare’s plays, I can safely say that that statement is completely and utterly false! Ha! Take that, haters! 🙂

What I’m getting at is that an idea for a short story popped into my head while reading Macbeth and I can’t wait to write it and see how it turns out. I just need to go time-hunting and find myself a few free hours (preferably days, but that’s wishful thinking) to work on it. The exciting part? I’m going to post it here on the blog for everyone to read!

I hope everyone is as excited as I am and I can’t wait to see how my writing is perceived!

Actually, I’m quite nervous.

The Weird Sisters? I’m intrigued! Can’t wait to read your story-and I’m glad you seem to like Oliver. 🙂
