Buzzlines: November 13, 2015

November 13, 2015

Buzzlines is a weekly round-up of articles, videos, and other tidbits you might have missed during the week.

“One Bouquet of Fleeting Beauty, Please” by Alisha Gorder (The New York Times) — I was introduced to the Times‘s “Modern Love” column a month or two ago, but only just began reading it regularly. This week’s piece is beautiful and heartbreaking, and tackles loss and love in such a simple, yet incredible way.

“#BooktoberFest Challenge Recap” by Rachel @ Hello Chelly — Not only is Rachel a friend of mine, but she is also a lovely person in general and an amazing photographer. Recently, she participated in the #BooktoberFest Challenge on Instagram and has rounded up her top ten photos.

“Dear Budding Bisexual: Nothing Is Wrong With You” by Anna Pulley (Medium) — This letter to the author’s younger self about accepting herself and her sexuality is beautiful and stirring in all the best ways.

“18 Reasons Being Single During Winter is Actually Amazing” by Sabrina Barr (Buzzfeed) — Being single may feel like the worst state of being known to humankind, but it’s not always so bad.

Fantastic Teen Reads event at Books of Wonder — Amie Kaufman, Jay Kristoff, Jon Skovron, Mackenzi Lee, and Kendall Kulper will be stopping by Books of Wonder to talk about their latest books and all things YA! The event is this Saturday at 4:00 pm.

That’s all for now, but be sure to let me know what caught your eye this week in the comments!
