My Work in Progress

June 22, 2010

Since I didn’t have any book-related things to post today, I thought I’d do a quick post about my current work in progress.

I’m happy to announce that I’m almost done with the first draft and out of the three other manuscripts I have written, this one is my favorite. I’m a little worried, however, because it invovles a supernatural being that’s currently an “it” thing and may not be if/when I send queries out to agents. Nonetheless, I’m extremely proud of the story I’m in the midst of telling and I actually can’t wait to go through and revise it. Usually, I stop in the middle of revising a manuscript because I start thinking that no one will ever want to read it and that I’m a terrible writer. I just hope someone, even if it’s one person, falls in love with this story as much as I have.

It’s doubtful, but I can dream, right? 🙂

I’m in the same boat with you…my finished first draft (yay!) is about some supernaturals that I’m worried will be extinct if/when it gets published…but I’m forging ahead anyway!
