November 2, 2010

Many bloggers started their blogs for different reasons, but a love for books and a love for writing are two of the most common reasons I’ve seen. In my case, it was a combination of the two, but my love for writing was definitely the predominant reason. I wanted to start connecting with other readers and writers, and start getting myself “out there”. I’ve become friends with so many aspiring authors and it’s great that we all support one another and keep the motivation running.

So, for all of you participating in NaNoWriMo, good luck and I hope you have a great time! I’m not participating, but I will definitely be writing all month and the month after that and so on. Writing is hard, as many of you know, but it’s rewarding, especially when you finish something and think, “I wrote that. That’s mine!” I look forward to your tweets and posts on the growth of your project and who knows, maybe we’ll see some of your products on the shelves someday. Actually, I know we’ll see your work published in the future and when that day comes we’ll all have to have a joint signing event. 🙂

I’m looking forward to that event 🙂

Actually, until this morning, I wasn’t going to participate. But I did. And I didn’t want to. I just wanted to feel like – actually I don’t know what I was thinking. I’m not even following the rules; I’m re-writing my WiP in third (thanks again for that, btw)

Good luck with your writing, DJ. Let me know if you need anything.

I’ll be participating in NaDrawMo, but I’ll take all the luck I can get anyway. 😉
