New Year, New Look, New Projects!

March 3, 2014

Dear Readers,

When you think about it, change is really one of the only constants in this world. Seasons come and go, you make friends, you lose friends. You fall in and out of love as the years tick away. But change is good. And this year is going to be full of greatness, I can just feel it.
With the new year well underway, I thought it was time to throw out the old and bring in the new. As you may have noticed, the site has gotten a gorgeous new look courtesy of the talented Hafsah at IceyDesigns. (Isn’t it lovely? I sure think so!) If you’re looking for to spruce up your site, I definitely recommend Hafsah. She’s quick, patient, and works hard to match your vision. I gave her a color scheme and some reference images, and she nailed it. The nautical theme is a perfect fit for my current state of mind, and I kind of want to just stare at the design all day.
Also, back in February, my blog turned four. Can you believe it? Four whole years. In those four years, I’ve discovered new books/authors, made lasting friendships, moved to a new city, and became a published author. It’s been a spectacular ride so far and I can’t wait to see what’s coming next.
I also updated the look of my Tumblr blog, Dreams of Monsters & Starlight, which is dedicated to fairy tale/fantasy-related images, text, and other media. If you’re on Tumblr, let me know so I can follow you!
Over the course of the next few weeks, I plan on breathing some new life into the site. I’m going to be making changes to my reviews as well as hosting new giveaways. I have a couple ideas for features I’d like to try out, so fingers crossed those pan out well! I also have updates regarding my writing, so keep an eye out for those.
I hope you’re all doing well and enjoying 2014 as much as I am. Thank you for your unwavering support and friendship, and I hope to see you all soon.
Be proud, write loud!
