Review: INCARNATE by Jodi Meadows

January 2, 2014
I’ve heard many, many wonderful things about Jodi Meadows’s Incarnate and I finally sat down to read it during my holiday break. Meadows has written a mesmerizing and magical story about reincarnation, curiosity, and longing. I can’t wait to break into the sequel!
Meadows’s writing is fantastic and although the style feels uneven at times, her writing is clean, descriptive, and full of emotion and wonder. She has given Ana a splendid voice, one that is easy to connect with, and this smooth narration makes for an engaging read. The colorful cast of characters and the futuristic/fantastical setting are fascinating to get to know, and I can’t wait to see what the second book has in store.

All in all, Incarnateis an addicting and enchanting novel that will sweep readers up in a beautiful twister of romance and fantasy. Jodi Meadows is a skillful writer who has a bright career ahead of her and I look forward to reading the next two books in this series. Definitely add Incarnateto your list if you haven’t already read it!
