Review: Vindicated by Keary Taylor

March 16, 2012

In Vindicated, the third and final installment of Keary Taylor’s Fall of Angels series, readers are treated to an intense, romantic, and dramatic conclusion to this beautifully dark series. Fans of the series will not be disappointed with this last installment and I’m sure they’ll be left wanting even more.

It’s no secret that Ms. Taylor is a talented and gifted writer. She has created a dark and terrifying take on angels and her version of the afterlife is further explored in the book, giving her world even more dimension and believability. Along with the well-thought out world, the descriptions are also wonderfully written and provide clear, vivid images.

The plot moves along nicely and includes both action-packed moments and stunningly romantic ones. This balance between the more intense and tender scenes works really well to also provide a sort of depth to the story, making it even more rounded.

Speaking of the romance, Jessica and Alex’s relationship may be on the edge of falling apart due to his struggle to stay in the mortal world, they continue to shine as a couple and their love for each other is both heartwarming and heart-wrenching. Jessica’s strength is truly admirable and helps illustrate how far she’s come since the first book.

All in all, Vindicated is a beautiful and satisfying conclusion that will sweep readers up in a whirlwind of romance, drama, and action. I’m sad to see Jessica and Alex’s story come to an end, but I couldn’t have imagined a better ending. If you haven’t started this series yet, now is the time to do so! You won’t be able to stop yourself from being hooked on this stunning series.
